The single-shaft shredders designed and manufactured by Air-Project are the result of years of experience in the paper sector. The shredders were developed to reduce the trimmings of paper material in a way to make them extractable.
These single-shaft shredders made of thick painted sheet steel are used mainly for reel-sheet cutters. In fact, the sheet of paper rejected by the cutter is unloaded directly inside the shredder hopper. The sheet is then shredded by the rotating shaft, making the pieces of paper transportable pneumatically.
These shredders are high performance if kept in negative pressure conditions by a dedicated fan
Thanks to their small clearance, they are more increasingly used in line with the production machines.
